Retired - Height Standards for Coding LSO and TLSO - Revised

PDAC recommends the use of Centers for Disease Control (CDC) National Center for Health Statistics at http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/bodymeas.htm in determining the average height standards for correct coding of all LSOs and TLSOs. These average height standards can be used in determining length of the structural panel(s) included on LSOs and TLSOs for proper coding. When submitting products to the PDAC for a Coding Verification Review, a size medium for either male and/or female should be submitted along with the application(s). This change will ensure that all products are coded equally. When a non-gender specific (universal) LSO or TLSO is submitted for a coding verification review, the male height standards must be met. This change applies to applications received 30 days or more after the publication of the article.

**Average for Male is 5’9” and for Female is 5’4”   All Americans, 20+ Yrs. of age.
